It Finally Snowed!!!

We have been waiting a long time for this snow to come! We haven't had much fun in it yet. We went outside this morning while it was still snowing and lasted about 10 minutes... well mommy lasted 10 minutes with it blowing in our faces. When Violet woke up Brigitte went and got my baby wrap and told me "pick her up" and "outside mama." Translation...she wanted me to put Violet in my warp and take her outside. She is really starting to like her sister now and wants her to do stuff with us.

She did play outside last night while daddy was shoveling the drive way which was kind of pointless by this morning but I guess less to shovel tonight...
She can't really play because she can't figure out how to walk!
She was a little concerned about her slide....
Hopefully there will be more to come...

Our Precious Vi Vi

As I look at our blog I feel bad for Violet...she doesn't get much camera attention. But she does get a lot of love from us! She is a perfect fit into our family and we thank thank Heavenly Father for her every day! She is cutting her first two teeth right now so she isn't a happier camper but she still smiles on!
 Good Mornin'
 First nap in her crib!
Blue Eyed Girl!

A Dang Nutcracker

Brigitte really starting liking nutcrackers at Christmas this year. Not too sure why because we didn't have one but she does have a Barbie video version of the nutcracker which I guess is where she got it from. Anyways... She knows where the nutcracker is at Kohl's we have gone in there 3 times since Christmas and she picks one up everytime. Last Friday I finally decided since she goes straight to them and picks him up I will buy it. 80% off but still $7!

I didn't really want to but the one she chose because it wasn't a real nutcracker...it has blocks to count down the days until Christmas and it is KU not very Christmasy.. She searched for the one she wanted...she would pick one, look at him, set it back down and choose the next one until she got to this one. I should have looked at him! MY goodness I think a 3 year old painted him. He just looks horrible but she loves him. She wants him to go everywhere she does.
Just admiring him after we got him all unwrapped
Upset that she couldn't take a bath with him.
Another rare moment: Her sharing!!!

She is pretty bossy with him... at the moment while she is napping he is looking out her window. He is supposed to be watching the snow.

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! Lots of fun at our house. Brigitte even got to bring valentine's to her friends at school. Which is why I believe she thinks she gets candy and cookies.
I have been trying to get this look on camera for months! I love it... it is kind of a "whacha talking about Willis" thing. Not as funny in a picture as it is in real life!
Her with her classmates valentine's...They are Kool-Aid's that say "You are way KOOL valentine!"
Of course she had to line them all up! She still lines things up but not as bad.
Happy Valentine's Day from the girls!
We did not get Brigitte any candy...just a balloon and a ball which can't be wrapped so we stuck it in the closet and told her she has a surprise in the closet...She is still checking the closet for a surprise...maybe that was a bad idea?!

Chicken on the Loose

Brigitte still really loves her Halloween costume and she wears it often. I had been to trying to get her to play outside for awhile while it was nice but of course the day she wants to go outside just happens to be cold and she is wearing her chicken outfit. I was alright with it because it is just as warm as a coat if not warmer and she will keep it on. She is my big goof ball....in second place next to daddy.

Cookies with Grandma

So Grandma really wanted to make cookies when she was over last and got Brigitte to help. But of course not before she had to go and get dolled up with a necklace, gloves, and she has high heels on! And let me say this necklace is heavy! I can only wear it for an hour or two...  I can just imagine what it feels like on her!

Trip to Cali

Daddy had another business trip so what does this crazy woman decide to do?! Take a 2 year old and 6 month old on a plane by herself to visit GG and Grandpa Wallet in California! The plane ride actually wasn't really that bad and I would do it again and again to see my family!
 Vi Vi ready to go!
Tried to get her to sleep the whole way there....Literally 5 minutes before we land she passes out!
Every girl needs a little neck support while shopping!
Thrifty ice cream! Dare I say it is almost better than Braums. I mean the scoop is way cooler anyway. I was hoping for bubble gum flavor but had to settle for frosted animal cracker instead.
This girl loves baths but GG only has a huge tub that takes forever to fill so she settled for the sink in the laundry room!
Got to go to an exotic animal farm...nothing like the one in Eureka Springs but pretty cool! Brig enjoyed it
She thought this was the mama bear

 Shopping...

This girl found her dream store!  A store fully of nothing but high heels....She literally tried on EVERY pair she could reach!
Her wearing the sparkly black pair that I scored for $24!
The MASSIVE elevator in the Sacramento mall...it holds up to 100 people!
Of course Pottery Barn would make a jogging stroller for a doll. It was only $75! CRAZY
Viley's big enough to sit in the stroller without her carseat! She was so excited!
View from GG's deck
Violet was crying in the car and Brigitte thought it might help if she held her hand...she is usually not very caring to her sister so this is a rare moment. Plus she hates when she cries and usually covers her ears.
GG's nice be fireplace on the deck. She was warming her hands so she could eat her strawberries.
Lovin' the fire!
I can't believe this is the only picture I have with one of my cousin's that came to hang out with us. Brigitte loves Miss Hayley and I didn't even get one of them together. Shame on me. I also had my older cousin Carrey, her husband Jesse, her sisters Lily and Megan, and Aunt Erika come see me! We enjoyed finally seeing them after 4 years.
Apparently Brigitte was making up for lost time because I did not have one of these for her when she was little. Both the girls loved it though.
Vi Vi trying to play with Lucy...Lucy didn't really know what to do.
So my grandma has 10 grandchildren and 2 1/2 great grandchildren (one is still cooking...My cousin Carrey is going to be a mommy Aug 2013) She has kept some things that she had when we were little. This is the bib that almost all of us kids wore.
The bear or puppy not really sure what it is...but we all played with it.
The goose! I am pretty sure all of us kids have a picture of us sitting on this goose. What is funny is that we didn't tell her to sit on it. I am unpacking and the next thing I know is she is scooting this thing across the living room.

We had lots of fun on our trip hopefully next time we can bring daddy!

Tonsillectomy

After Christmas I had a delightful experience of getting my tonsils out. Actually it was one of the worst experiences of my LIFE! I was telling everyone I would gladly deliver 4 more babies before every doing that again! Actually I don't think you could pay me to do that again. I was in so much pain. My tonsils were HUGE! I could actually tell which one was my left one because it was permanently swollen. The really did a number to me because they were so big. The doctor bruised my tongue pretty good. It was so swollen I was talking with a slur and could hardly keep it in my mouth. I just wanted to walk around with my mouth open and tongue hanging out.

If you have children that need their tonsils out get them out now!!! For the love. I am cursing my parents for not taking them out. The doctors says that normal recovery is 2 weeks but since mine were so bad I could expect a month! They were about right I was about 4 days shy of a month when I realized I felt "normal" again.

So they had me on some pretty killer meds! And I am still breastfeeding so I think Violet got a little dose even though they say the med's are safe and the child won't get any...

Our After Christmas Ginerbread House

Well my mom thought it would be fun for my brothers to build a gingerbread house with Brigitte over Christmas but we never got around to it. Rather than saving it until next year we made it sometime in January.
 He took this very seriously!
She actually helped for a little bit...

I started to noticed one of the sides of the roof was falling...Well apparently the gumballs were a little too heavy and they all landed inside the house.
 The naked candy thief!!!

Brigitte and Her Ice Cream

Christmas 2012

This was our first Christmas in our new house! It was so nice to have everyone come here and not us go to them! Much easier with little children. However, cooking I was not really prepared for. I left the huge bowl of fruit salad that could have fed an army in the fridge and didn't even make the stuffing that I was dying to try. It was really fun though. Brigitte was wiped out after everyone left that was for sure!
We started a "Gabriel and Melissa Dauphin Family" tradition...where on Christmas Eve we have fish for dinner and bake Jesus a birthday cake!
Christmas Eve fun.... Little monkey jumpin' on the bed. She has to hold a monkey and sing that song while she jumps on a bed.
Uncle Travis putting together Brigitte's new kitchen with Violet's help! She ended up just wanting to eat the instructions!

All the presents...these are not all Brigitte and Violet's. Brigitte only got 2 from us and Violet got money in her savings account. My parents and brothers were also here hence why so many presents!
Christmas Elf
Christmas Fairy. Every time she opened a present she had to get everything out. She got tired of opening presents and just wanted to play with the stuff she had already opened after awhile. That is when you know grandma went over board!
Gabriel did the box inside a box inside a box for my present... Not complaining though it was a massage and pedicure. He also got me perfume and new high heels!
Violet trying to open her toys from Uncle J.
Grandma trying to keep her going...
I thinks she could use another hand
Brigitte's big gift from us was a trike.....
She is a little smaller than we thought. She can't push the pedals yet but she does like to push herself around on it.

Vi Vi and her new toy

Uncle Travis showing Brigitte what tub markers are!
