Violet oh Violet

So I just want to make everyone aware Violet will be going in on Tuesday Feburary 25th to have her stomach and colon scoped. She is still not gaining enough weight. As of right now she is 77% pecentile in height and still not on the chart for weight. Doctors like to see these two things within 10% of each other so obivously we are far from that.
She has caused me much anxiety and stress so to be honest I really hope they find something and we can move on to address this issue!
The 2 big things they are testing for is celiac disease and allergies! They will also be testing for about 10 other things and make sure her stomach is functioning properly!
She is still a happy go lucky little girl and you would never guess something is not right. This is probably what stresses me out the most because she seems fine but doctors don't think she is so I have to worry if the doctors are over reacting or something is really wrong!
I was very excited Sunday to see that we can now have double pig tails! So much cutier!

Circus

For Valentine's Day we took the girls to the circus. I can remember my dad always taking me to the circus so I thought we could carry on the tradition. Plus Brigitte has been asking me when we are going to have a "family day!"
I was a little dissapointed to find out that elephant rides were $10/person and minature ponies were $8/person. They were worse than fair prices. So we will just wait until September to ride the camels and ponies at the fair. But the girls just liked watching the elephants anyway I think they would have been a little freaked out!
So instead of rides we bought them inflatable balloons which went over better than I thought!
They of course wouldn't sit still with them so I could get a picture! They were busy playing!
So Violet only had a very short nap during the day and we just figured she would fall asleep on the hour drive over. We were wrong! Gabriel thought it would be an even better idea to make her walk every where so she wouldn't be so wiggly!
Here she is 2 minutes before the show started...
She woke up once the show stared. Had her 2 minute power nap and was fine the rest of the show. I wish I can take a 2 minute power nap and be re energized!
This was a circus put on by the Shriner's and this was the only "circus clown" He was passing out donut seeds better know as Cheerios! Some of the Shriner's were dressed as clowns but not too freaky looking.

So of course their favorite act of the night was also the last act the elephants. This was the longest circus. I had no idea it was 3 hours long! So the circus was over at 10:30 and needless to say the girls were becoming cranky if something wasn't entertaining them! They usually go to bed at 8!
We were on the front row which at first I thought wasn't going to be a very good idea but it worked better for the girls because all of the anaimal acts were right in front of us. I guess we just lucked out and picked the right ring because I think if we were anywhere else they wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as they did.
If you ask Brigitte what she liked it was all the animals...."the elephants, horsey, and tigers!"

Car Wreck

So I have always wondered if anyone had ever wrecked their brand new car and how horrible that must be. Well I learned first hand what that felt like!
We had just bought a 2004 Nissan Quest after selling my Santa Fe. I was not excited to be driving a mini van but this wasn't any mini van it was a cool mini van! It was leather with heated seats, DVD player, and even had sun roofs in the back!
So I picked up this van Thursday night and totaled it on my way to work Saturday morning! Yep owned it for 36 hours!!! I hit black ice going around a curve. Started going in the other line and I guess I just over corrected trying not to hit the on coming traffic, jumped the curb, and a small little tree stopped me.
Anytime I make sudden movements while driving Brigitte is quick to say "slow down mom-don't hit a tree again!" She wasn't even with me when it happened but daddy told her one time and it really stuck apparently!
So after all that we couldn't find a decent used van in our price range. It was nuts! So we instead decided to lease a Honda. This one still has leather and heated seats with one sun roof. But for some reason I am not excited as much about it. Maybe the wreck just ruined it for me or maybe once we get a DVD player I will like it more but right now I hate having to "watch my miles" since I only supposed to drive in 1000 miles a month! ERRR Oh and now Gabriel and I have the same color vechiles....:S

Trip to GG's and Grandpa Wallets

So every year at the end of January is Gabriel's biggest show for work. He is gone a week so me and the girls take off to California to see GG and Grandpa Wallet. We had so much fun just like we always do but it didn't even rain this time! However they really need rain but I am glad it didn't while we were there!
We had a 2 1/2 layover in Las Vegas so we rode the tram for at least 30 minute if not more. The tram was probably a 40 second ride one way. We just went back and forth. Besides being in an airport with 2 small children by myself Las Vegas was the worst of all airports. Keeping small children from all the slot machines was not a fun challenge! I would like to hurt whoever decided to put those in the airport. They obviously didn't have a 1 year!
Violet also became a stocker while at the airport. It was funny to watch her because he was just taking one step at the a time inching closer and closer. I guess she was just trying to see what was on his phone. But once he knew she was there she wanted nothing to do with him.
GG has a nice big tub at her house and even got out the bubbles!!!

One day we spend the day at the zoo and park. The zoo was actually a sanctuary for hurt animals or ones that couldn't survive in the wild on their own.

Not like we don't see these everyday but the girls loved the deer. I guess we haven't got this close to one before. She was friendly and not scared that is for sure!

Not sure how this happened but thought it was interesting GG took this picture with her IPhone. I joked with Gabriel that it looked like something that would be on Fringe. The show that we are binge watching on Netflix now! Very cool show! Just push through the first 2 episodes!

This girl was all about walking by herself and she doesn't want to hold you hand!
She ran away every chance she got!

This girl loves animals but I think she loved the park more this time. She loves horses and once she saw this thing she said "oh mom I'm so excited I found my park. It's a horsey park!'
And my little Vi Vi loves the swings! This swing was awesome! So this was a handicap accessible park and these are the swings so kids in a wheelchair can swing! So cool. We are getting an handicap park soon and I REALLY hope we get swings like these!
Brigitte let her sister ride for about 4 seconds! She didn't want to share!
One day we hit up the fish hatchery in Oroville. Brigitte was looking for all the fish. There were no fish at the hatchery...they had just released them that morning!

The girls loved watching the water rush by at least.
This is where the day got interesting! Violet decided she needing to try and climb through the bars and in the process kicked her shoe into the water. Of course she had to be wearing the cutest pair of shoes she owns (pink sparkly fake Toms!) So I rushed over to the building and got a man to try and "fish" the shoe out. By the time we got to the ladder I couldn't see the shoe anywhere! I couldn't believe how fast the water was moving!

But the man looks down this ladder a lot and has an eye for things that shouldn't be in there and he spotted it right before it was going into the river! Day saved! Then we asked about the fish and that is when found out where all the fish were but he said if we wanted to come inside and look at the babies and eggs we could! So we got to see the baby fish that just hatched and adjusting to the new water in a big tub. Then he showed us how they took care of the eggs, what they did with them, and the incubators. Of course the girls weren't really interested in this stuff but grandma and I found it interesting!
Probably the most fun they had was the very last day there and we went to a fun little bouncy jungle gym! They had soft equipment for the young ones and a huge jungle gym for the older ones to play on. Both girls played on the jungle gym and loved the slides but they much favored all the soft stuff to play with!

Violet followed Brigitte everyone just like she does at home!

Her favorite!
That end part is her wanted to go again! We are still working on this "talking" thing. I finally got tired and just sat the top of the slid and pulled her up. It was much less work on my part that way!

We also got to spend the weekend with my cousins and Aunt! My two youngest cousins used to call me "that girl"when they were little and Brigitte picked it up on her own and started calling them "those girls."  Apparently it is a Sullins' thing not to learn your cousin's names. We also got to see little Sophie who is 6 months old and I thought Violet was going to love her because she loves babies...nope I just learned that she is extremely jealous instead! Thank you girls for coming to see us!

Family Pictures

Travis has become a little photography since moving to Utah and getting his very own DSLR camera. So we haven't had a family photo in awhile so we thought we would see how well we could do by taking our own. I must say he did pretty good!
First we had to work on the lighting. Jeremy was the model...

This is my favorite picture of Brigitte. This was her roaring like a lion. Which she does often!!!
Just some more fun of playing in the snow...

We also get a pretty good viewing the stars at night since it is super dark out here. His camera even caught a satellite moving across the sky.

Christmas Snow

So we finally had a white Christmas...well kind of. It snow about 3 days before a little over 9 inches and it was still here Christmas day. So since we had to do Christmas backwards playing in the snow was a perfect way to pass the time until we picked up Uncle Travis.

We only had one sled and the girls weren't about to take turns so leave it up to Gabriel to use a large shovel for a sled!
Violet LOVED riding on the shovel...She was not happy to say the least when we went inside

Brigitte finally got brave and was riding a little on her own.
The giant snowman Uncle J helped Brigitte make.

Violet was done taking pictures at this point and just wanted to eat the snow and carrot!
