We just got back from a week long vacation to Salt Lake City. Travis just got back from his mission and had to go back and introduce us to some of the people he taught out there and had to go skiing since he couldn't do while he was on his mission. They got very lucky with skiing because there was hardly any snow left but they did get a day and night ski in.
I got to meet another one of Gabriel's mission buddies. It is always fun to here stories about him before I knew him. Cameron and his wife Lesley have two little girls 23 months apart (which is what we will soon have!!!) so it was really fun to see what the future holds for us. There oldest daughter Aubrey even got Brigitte to say two new words. Bubbles and green! We totally forgot to take pictures too! Oh well another excuse to go visit again!
Our first stop on our trip was to an aquarium... so not worth the price that we paid to get in but Brigitte did have a fun time!
We then went driving around downtown and got up to Ensign Peak. Didn't make it up to the top. The stroller couldn't handle it and we were not about to carry her all the way up there!
City Creek the new shopping center downtown just opened up the day before we got there! So amazing! It was crazy busy!!! I got off the elevator and my hands just went to my mouth in shock of how many people were there! It was like we were at Disney Land or something. Brigitte LOVED the play area they had. The floor was a soft rubber something and all the dinosaurs were some soft rubber something so the kids didn't really hurt themselves. Brigitte really like sliding down the tail of the green dinosaur because she could do it all by herself and she also really liked being in the egg. Of course we had to go back another day because we had so much fun!
Brigitte loves the piano! Which I find really cool and odd at the same time because we don't have a piano at home! Needless to say we might have at least one child who will like playing the piano and maybe be able to teach me someday! Too bad Grandma Dauphin doesn't live closer to teach us! Anyway so we are eating at the Joseph Smith Building for lunch and come down and this sister is playing the piano. She runs up and wants to play with her. We had to really fight her but she did get to play a few keys.
Next stop the visitor centers! I love these pictures. Brigitte has been watching daddy VERY carefully and is now having to run way and take her calls "in her office!" She will always find a quiet place to sit and talk on the phone even if there isn't anyone on the other end!
This is the VERY first time she feel asleep in the stroller. She will only fall asleep in her crib or car seat! Of course she falls asleep as we are walking to the car!
Of course we had to get some swimming in!
Gabriel had to fly home before Brigitte and I because he had to go back to work! So he didn't get to go to the Salt Lake Temple so I took my daddy instead!
